One Meeting Minute Thought for Your Week
Did you know there’s an easy way to grant yourself the power to politely interrupt someone in a meeting?
And, be praised for doing it.
Here’s the secret.
Volunteer to take notes during a meeting.
You’re not going to have to fight for that job. Few want this role.
So it’s yours for the asking.
Then, once you are the official scribe, you can say this:
⭐ “I apologize for interrupting here, but I need to ask a quick question to make sure I get this right in the notes.”
Or
⭐ “That’s a great point, would you please repeat it so I can capture it in the notes?”
Maybe someone is rambling on and on.
Stop them.
Interrupt.
Who, but the meeting leader, has the power to do this?
Who can interrupt anyone during a meeting?
The note taker.
Give it a shot.
Volunteer.
Try it out.
Experience the power that comes when you’re the note taker in a meeting.
You can politely interrupt anyone in a meeting to make it more productive and efficient.
