WITS Leadership Survey Results – in a format you probably aren’t expecting

This article is part of an email series covering the results of the 2025 Wichita Industrial Trade Show (WITS) Leadership Pulse Survey. Hello!

Thank you for taking the time to participate in the 2025 Wichita Industrial Trade Show Leadership Pulse Survey.

I have the results compiled and will share them in a way that may seem a bit unconventional, but I trust will serve you better as a busy leader in your business.

Before I explain how I’m going to share the survey results with you, let me do a quick memory refresh.

I’m Greg Harrod, the Business Coach who asked you to complete this quick 5-question survey while you were working your booth at WITS last month.

You can check out my picture below if you remember faces, and bald heads, better than names.

As a Business CoachI help hands-on business owners and leadership teams bring clarity, alignment, and rhythm to their operations so they can lead with calm confidence instead of constantly fighting fires and managing chaos.

You were one of 120 WITS exhibitors who graciously gave me a few minutes of your valuable time.

Thank you!

Together we captured valuable, meaningful data that gives you and other business leaders a behind-the-scenes look at what’s really going on in dozens of businesses like yours.

I found the results interesting and compelling. And I’m confident you will too.

You’re not going to want to simply read the results.

You’re going to want to take action so you can lead your team more effectively and deliver better results for your business.

So, I’m not going to take the traditional approach and send you a long, boring report that you don’t have time to read.

Here’s what I’m going to do instead.

I’m going to send you a series of emails that will take you just a few minutes to read.

They’ll be practical and actionable.

Each email will cover one specific aspect of the survey results AND give you a few ideas on actions you can take immediately with your team to help them contribute in a way that brings them more fulfillment while also improving productivity and your business results.

You don’t have time to waste, but you do want your team to improve.

And you want to be a better leader for them too.

You want:

  • More clarity
  • Improved alignment
  • Better communication
  • Smoother rhythms in your operations

We’ll work together to get you there through these emails.

I say “we” because I want this to be a dialogue WITH you, not a lecture TO you.

Using email will provide us with the opportunity for conversation.

If my emails spark a thought or raise a question, please reply.

I’ll read each one and reply as soon as I can.

While I do have 30+ years of experience leading diverse global teams in operationally complex companies and a load of training that has served me well throughout my career, I don’t know what YOU know and I haven’t had YOUR experience in YOUR business with YOUR people.

I have much to learn and I would love the opportunity to learn from you.

We’ll start tomorrow with the first email that covers what I found to be the most interesting part of the survey results, the answers to the last survey question:

If you could fix one problem with your team dynamics, what would it be?

I expect the most common response will not surprise you.

You can check out tomorrow’s email to find out.

Here to help you lead with clarity and confidence,

Greg
